Every book can include up to five saved characters: one hero plus four co-stars such as siblings, parents, grandparents, friends, or pets. The AI uses each saved portrait to keep the cast visually consistent.

Hit the Regenerate button on any page — it redraws just that one illustration without touching the rest of the book. Free accounts get 3 regenerations per page. Paid plans get unlimited regenerations, so you can keep clicking until every page is perfect.

Absolutely! All accounts — including free — include a "Write my own story" option where you describe any story idea in a sentence or two. Our AI will turn it into a full personalized book. You can use it right away without a subscription.

Yes — custom story ideas need to be original and gentle enough for kids. Requests involving copyrighted characters (like Disney or Marvel franchises), violence, or other inappropriate content aren't allowed. If a request is blocked you'll see a message explaining why, so you can rewrite it with an original idea.

There are three art styles to choose from: Watercolor Storybook (soft, warm, classic picture-book look), 3D Animated (rounded, bright, modern animated-movie style), and Flat Modern (bold shapes, limited palette, contemporary picture-book feel). All three styles are available on every account, including free.

Yes. In the book viewer, tap "Edit text" on any page to change the wording directly. Use "Quick Redraw" to regenerate the illustration using the current text, or "Custom Redraw" to write specific instructions that guide exactly what appears in that page's image.

Story Club is an optional membership for families who create regularly. The monthly option is $9.99 and adds one digital-book credit each month. The annual option is $79 and adds six credits for the year. Unused credits roll over while the membership remains active.

Yes. Complete any single digital book for a one-time $19.99 payment with no subscription. That includes all 18 illustrations, PDF and EPUB downloads, a private share link, and stock-voice narration.

Yes. The printed keepsake is $44.99 plus shipping and includes the completed digital edition. It is a premium full-color 8.5 × 8.5 saddle-stitch storybook produced and shipped to a U.S. address. Order it directly from the free preview or any completed book.

After you complete checkout your book is automatically formatted for professional printing and sent into production. Printed books are made to order and typically arrive about 3 weeks after purchase (printing plus shipping). You will receive an email confirmation once your order is placed. Currently available for US addresses only.

Yes. When creating a book you pick an age range — Ages 2–4, 5–7, or 8–10 — and the AI tunes the vocabulary and story complexity to match. A toddler book uses simple, repetitive language while an 8–10 book can have a real plot with a challenge and resolution.

Yes. The Grandparent Pair is $119 and includes one done-for-you personalized story, two printed copies, the digital edition, and narration. Larger five-, ten-, and fifteen-book family-library packages are also available on the Gift page.

Deleting a book removes it from My Library right away. If you had already unlocked or exported it, paid plans get a limited number of monthly do-over credits back automatically (Story Club: 3/month, higher tiers more) so you can start a fresh book without paying again. Free accounts don't get do-over credits, so double-check before deleting an unlocked free book.

Yes! Once you create a character, they are saved to your character library and you can add them to as many new books as you like. Just pick them from your saved characters when starting a new story. Free accounts can save up to 5 characters; Story Club and other paid plans raise that limit significantly.

Nothing is deleted. All your books and characters stay in your library forever, and any book you have already completed remains fully readable and shareable via its link. After your billing period ends, free-tier limits apply to creating new books, but your existing completed books are safe.

Yes! Every book gets a custom AI-designed cover featuring your child, with a title treatment styled to match the story's theme and art style rather than a generic template frame. Covers are included automatically on every book, digital and printed — no extra steps needed.

Yes! Every book you share includes a link inviting others to make their own. If someone signs up through your shared book and later completes a paid book, print order, or Story Club subscription, you get a $5 store credit automatically applied at your next checkout.

The story is written first, then the preview illustrations are created one at a time. Most previews are ready within a few minutes. Generation continues safely on our server if you close the page or your phone goes to sleep, and you can return from My Library at any time.

A clear, front-facing photo with good lighting. Phone photos work great — no need for professional shots. The AI needs to see the face clearly to create a consistent cartoon character.

Yes, cancel anytime from your profile page. You keep access until the end of your billing period, and all your saved books and characters remain in your library forever.

No. Photos are used only during character creation to generate the cartoon version, then immediately discarded. We never store the original photo. Only the AI-generated cartoon portrait is kept.

Yes! Click "Share with family" on any book to get a link. Anyone can tap through the full book on their phone — no account, no app, no download required. It also shows a nice preview when texted via iMessage or WhatsApp.

Completed digital books include clean PDF and EPUB downloads. The free preview is available to read in your library and through its private share link, but downloads unlock when you purchase the completed digital book or a printed keepsake.
